Finland and Sweden have drier, more continental climates with more clear nights. Norway's coast (Tromsø) is further north but cloudier and wetter — though still spectacular on clear nights.

Cost

Access & extras

Finland's Rovaniemi is the easiest all-round base — direct Helsinki flights, plus Santa Claus Village and Arctic wildlife. Sweden's Abisko is remote and nature-focused; Norway's Tromsø is a lively coastal city.
