The legend
Korvatunturi ("Ear Fell") is said to be shaped like an ear, letting Santa hear children's wishes from around the world. It's remote and largely inaccessible — part of the magic.
Why Rovaniemi?
Because Korvatunturi is so remote, Santa "moved his office" to Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, on the Arctic Circle, where you can meet him year-round.
