What is the Northern Lights guarantee — how does it work?

If the Northern Lights do not appear on your tour night, we rebook you free of charge on the next available tour — no questions, no conditions. We have operated since 2023 and have never had a full season where guests didn't see the aurora. What is the KP-index and how do you use it?

The KP-index (0–9) measures global geomagnetic activity caused by solar wind. At Rovaniemi's latitude (66°N), visible aurora begins at KP2 and becomes spectacular at KP4+. Our guides monitor NOAA and Finnish Meteorological Institute forecasts in real time every night, and track live cloud cover across a 200km radius to reposition to clear skies when needed.
What camera equipment should I bring for Northern Lights photography?

A DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual mode is ideal — a wide-angle lens (14–24mm, f/2.8 or faster), sturdy tripod, spare batteries, and extra memory cards. Our guides provide hands-on coaching for your specific camera. Modern iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones in night mode also capture stunning aurora images — don't let gear stop you from booking.

Day trips are €95 for Oulanka snowshoeing, €100 for Santa Claus Village or Ranua Wildlife Park, and €150 for the Ruka Coaster. All aurora tours include transport and an expert guide.

Free cancellation or reschedule up to 48 hours before your tour date — full refund with no penalties. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable, though we try to rebook you at no extra charge. If we cancel due to severe weather or guide unavailability, you receive a full refund or complimentary rebook. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Do you accommodate large groups, corporate events, or hen/stag parties?

Yes — we regularly host corporate groups, incentive travel, hen/stag parties, and large family gatherings. For groups of 9 or more we operate multiple vehicles simultaneously. Group rates are available for bookings of 10 or more guests. Contact our team at least 6–8 weeks in advance.
